Bank Cottage Studio is in the quiet conservation village of Great Wolford, Warwickshire.

Being on the borders of 3 English counties - Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, and Oxfordshire - you can easily visit many well-known villages, towns, gardens and National Trust sites, and the now world-famous Diddly Squat is just 20 minutes' away.

    

Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour, both traditional market towns, are just 5 minutes (6kms) away by car.

Stratford upon Avon, Banbury, Evesham, Burford and Cheltenham are between 30 and 45 minutes.

- Chipping Norton, Daylesford Farm Shop and restaurant and Diddly Squat Farm shop are 20 minutes' away

Oxford is an hour away by car, just 35 minutes on the train (every hour) from Moreton in Marsh station which is 5 minutes' drive.

We are fortunate to have several beautiful National Trust properties within an hour's drive, across the three counties of Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

Packwood House (Warwickshire): Known for its restored Tudor house and famous yew garden.

 

Baddesley Clinton (Warwickshire): A romantic, secluded estate with a moated manor house.

Compton Verney (Warwickshire): An award-winning art gallery, accredited museum, and registered charity located in a Grade I-listed Georgian mansion in Warwickshire, surrounded by 120 acres of Capability Brown-designed parkland, c30 minutes' drive. 

   

Blenheim Palace (Oxfordshire):  A  monumental 18th-century country house and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Woodstock. As the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, it is a major cultural landmark famous for its Baroque architecture, 2,000 acres of parkland, and formal gardens. c30 minutes' drive.

   

British Motor Museum (Warwickshire): The world's largest collection of historic British cars. It's packed with interactive displays and activities for adults and children alike. c35 minutes' drive. 

   

Warwick Castle (Warwickshire): A renowned medieval attraction in Warwickshire, England, originally built by William the Conqueror in 1068. This former wooden fort was transformed into a stone castle in the 13th century and now offers interactive historical experiences, including jousting, a trebuchet, and preserved state rooms (c35 minutes drive).
